With one month to go until the cross country division championships, the Bow Falcons are coming into form, sweeping both team titles at their Homecoming race.
Sarah Ciotti finished third in the girls’ race in a season-best time of 22:01, leading the Division III Falcons to wins over D-II John Stark, Pembroke and Manchester West.
Bow and John Stark tied for first with 28 points, but the Falcons had the faster sixth-runner to take the title. Pembroke finished third with 85. Manchester West did not have enough runners to score, but had the top two runners with Julia Robitaille (18:36) taking an early lead and blowing out the rest of the field, followed by Corrine Robitaille (20:58).
Bow was led by Ciotti, Ines Tarek (seventh, 23:17), Libby Parker (eighth, 23:19), Regan Irish (ninth, 23:27) and Juliette Doucet (11th, 24:35) with Grace Maurer (12th, 24:43) finishing as the deciding sixth-runner.
Haleigh Bilodeau (fourth, 23:05), Laura Martin (fifth, 23:07), Madison McDonald (sixth, 23:11), Hailey Erskine (10th, 24:08) and Katelyn Brennan (13th, 24:56) scored for John Stark.
Avery Gamache (28:47), Amanda Montminy (28:47) and Julia Valotto (28:48) finished 32nd through 34th to lead Pembroke.
